Why Cedar?
About Us
Since we started Cedar Telecom in 2008, making sure that you have the right set-up for your business has always been paramount.
It’s why we take the time to listen to and understand what you want, and then ensure that it’s what your business needs – whether that’s a major systems overhaul or just keeping things running smoothly.
When you entrust your business telecoms to us, it’s safe in the knowledge that it will be done thoroughly, and only ever needs doing once. (And if, for whatever reason, we can’t do it for you, we’ll let you know when we first sit down together.)
To us, every customer is important.
So, whether you employ one person or a thousand, use established technologies or the latest systems, and have just one site or hundreds, we’ll look after your telecoms with the same diligence and care as if they were our own.
We’re here to help, advise and support you.
Our service typically starts with providing the business telecoms that you need, calls and broadband, all the way through to system reviews and updates, new installations, and moving from your existing supplier.
We also design, provide and manage telecoms and data services that keep your staff connected across multiple sites – whether they’re based in different offices or working from home.
Whatever decisions you’re facing with your telecoms or data set-up, we’re only too ready to help you get where you need to be.

Mike:
I began my telecoms career in a sales role in the London area, providing telecommunications system solutions to SMEs. The industry had only recently been liberalised, and both the internet and mobile networks were still in their early stages of development. It was an exciting and transformative period to enter the sector.
As telecoms and data technologies evolved rapidly, I increasingly gravitated toward the technical side of the industry, eventually moving into a specialist role focused on complex solutions.
Nearly a decade later, I stepped away from the UK telecoms sector and spent several years working in the software industry. When a compelling opportunity arose, I chose to return to the UK telecoms market, this time in an IT management capacity.
By 2010, I had worked for several high growth companies that were ultimately sold at their peak. After experiencing repeated cycles of transition and instability, I decided it was time to take control of my own path. Together with a group of like minded colleagues, I founded Cedar Telecom to build something sustainable and long term. Cedar Telecom provides voice and data solutions to SMEs, supported by expert guidance. Our aim is to deliver the right advice, high quality products, and dependable support at a fair price, leveraging proven services from carefully selected leading wholesale partners.
Robert:
My telecoms career started in an admin role in Oxfordshire setting up telecoms and data solutions for businesses. Calls were made over analogue and ISDN lines and broadband was not widely used.
Over the years I picked up the emerging technologies of broadband and VoIP and moved to manage a team setting up service for businesses across the UK. After eight years I moved to one of the largest telecommunications companies in the world managing a team of people looking after customers across the country
In 2008 with a group of people I had worked with previously we setup Cedar Telecom to build a lasting and sustainable business.
Cedar Telecom delivers tailored voice and data solutions to small and medium-sized businesses, backed by expert advice and ongoing support. Our commitment is to provide the right guidance, high-quality products, and reliable service at a competitive price, using proven solutions from carefully selected leading wholesale partners
Decades of experience and knowledge to match
Our experience goes back further than 2008, so there are very few telecoms scenarios we’ve not encountered.
And, during that time, we’ve also discovered that forever configuring lines and data requirements could be considered a bit techy.
Not to us though. It simply adds to our expertise.
